The challenge?
Time travel.
Back, of course.
But back to when?
Possibilities overwhelm me,
Yet Trifecta’s clock relentlessly counts down.
Turning the present into even more past.
Nonplussed,
I travel to the future.

You described my thought process. Very cool.
ReplyDeleteWhen one doesn't work, try the other haha
ReplyDeleteI get the same indecision when we decide to go on a journey, and we can only go in one direction. Nice one. (RogRites)
ReplyDeleteisn't that the truth?! if you could capture time .. now that would be something wouldn't it .. I'd settle on a little less wrinkles myself....
ReplyDeleteTurning the present into more past. Yes! Isn't that the truth? Thanks for linking up.
ReplyDeleteTime is a moving target with the present becoming the past the moment we even think of it. Add in the pressure of the challenge countdown clock, and I'd say travel to the future was a smart move :)
ReplyDeleteHa. very good.. future
ReplyDeleteAnd why not?! We already know what's in the past, right? ;)

I am sure it would be much easier to travel ahead than to chose a moment in the past.

ReplyDeleteThat is such a whammy of a line, Valerie!
You are a clever one, you are : )
I love the word nonplussed... I like, and agree, with what kymm said. You are a clever one. Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteExcellent take, Valerie! And I agree with Steph – nonplussed is such a perfect word. Well done!
ReplyDeleteI came in under the wire with my entry. I felt your future! I was non-plussed too! Clever!!!
ReplyDeleteFuture may be more interesting than getting bogged down in old history.
ReplyDeleteExcellent.
And ...we all travel to the future! LOL. Hey how about traveling over to Utah some time soon and visiting me some day. You are only about 15 hours away???? hahahahaha. (so don't talk about travel unless you are going to do it, my sweet.)
ReplyDeleteRenae, I would love that! And I just might too! I keep telling my hubby that a road trip is in order...We'll plan on it, cutie pie!!
DeleteVery thoughtful! I've been living in the past in books lately....Tudor England - I just can't get enough.
ReplyDeleteLOL That is a very clever and unique response to the prompt.
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize Trifecta did a weekend challenge. You learn something new every day.
Nice take on the prompt! Very clever :)
ReplyDeleteHope you're doing well!
You have said so much with so few words. Loved this!
